A
Message from the Pastor
December
2008
Dear Friends,
I am happy to announce that the Victorian
Christmas Presentations and the Christmas Eve Services will be broadcasted live on a web cast. James Reiss and Carol
Cucuzza have been working to upgrade our computer systems and wireless router in order for us to be able to broadcast these
special events. In order for you to view these events you will need to have a computer with internet access.
We currently have space for 12 viewers to each event. We can increase this but will need to know
before the event. If you wish to view any of these events please email Carol Cucuzza at carolcucuzza@yahoo.com and she will provide you with the password. As a test of the
system, we will broadcast the rehearsal Sunday starting at noon until 1pm where you will be able to locate the web cast
on our webpage www.crotonfallscommunitychurch.com.
The concept for the web cast was born out of the need by one of our friends to participate in the Christmas Eve Service from
home. A medical procedure will make it impossible for this person to attend in person. The
need was expressed and people came forward with expertise to implement the design and purchase the hardware needed to create
the broadcast. It has taken many hours of design and much needed financial resources to create the necessary
system. I am happy to say the several people have come forward to offset the start up costs.
We have had donations of a new router, fire wire, camera tilt, operating computer, and hosting server.
I would like to thank James Reiss for spending many hours reprogramming and upgrading our computer system.
He has worked extremely hard to get all the necessary components to facilitate the web cast. I wish
to also thank Carol Cucuzza who has upgraded our website and made sure the financial resources were ready to support this
undertaking. All of us have so many things to do this time of the year; however it has been most rewarding
seeing this effort unfold and the time freely given to make this a reality. This is truly in the best
spirit of the season. So this Sunday check out the test web cast at noon. If you wish
to view for the Victorian Presentation or Christmas Eve Services e-mail Carol. Our little church will once
again reach out and will now share its message in a new and wonderful way.
Discover what Christmas is really all about.....Caring people coming together to
celebrate the birth of the Child of Bethlehem.
