                           Choir

Would you know my name, if I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same, if I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on cause I know you don't belong here in heaven.

Would you hold my hand, if I saw you in heaven,
Would you help me stand, if I saw you in heaven?
I'll find a way, through night and day
cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven.

Time
                           can bring you down, time can bend your knee,
Time
                           can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please.

Beyond the
                           door, there's peace I'm sure
And I know
                           there'd be no more....
tears in heaven.

Hymn
                           "Be Not Afraid"
1.
                           You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand. You
                           shall see the face of God and live.

Be not afraid, I go before you always.
Come follow me, and I will give you rest.

2. I you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the power of hell and death is at your side,
know that I am with you through it all (Refrain)

3. Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blessed are you who weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked tongues insult and hate you all because of me,
Blessed, blessed, are you!  (Refrain)

Opening Sentences
Leader:
                           O Lord, open thou my lips,
People: And
                           our mouths shall show forth thy praise.
Leader:
                           Make haste to help me O God.
Leader: Amid
                           the changes of life we turn to God who alone remains the same.
People: We acknowledge the uncertainty of our life on earth.
Leader: Each day is a blessing from you who gives us mercies each morning.
People: As we gather we have a deeper understanding of the importance of
                           our Faith, our families and our friends.

Opening Prayer
The Canticle of Light "Christ Might Savior"

Christ Mighty Savior, Light of all creation,
you make the daytime radiant with the sunlight
and to the night give glittering adornment,
stars in the heavens.

Now come the day's end as the sun is setting:
mirror of daybreak, pledge of resurrection;
while in the heavens choirs of stars appearing
hallow the nightfall.

Therefore
                           we come now evening rites to offer,
joyfully
                           chanting holy hymns to praise you,
with
                           all creation joining hearts and voices singing your glory.

Give heed we
                           pray you, to our supplication:
that you may
                           grant us pardon for offenses,
strength for
                           our weak hearts, rest from aching bodies, soothing the weary.

Though bodies
                           slumber, hearts shall keep their vigil,
forever
                           resting in the peace of Jesus,
in light or
                           darkness worshipping our savior,
now
                           and forever.

Opening Prayer
O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered,
accept our prayers on behalf of your servants Anne and Charles.
We thank you for giving them to us, their family
                           and friends, to know and to love as parents,
grandparents,
                           aunt and uncle, and friends on our earthly pilgrimage.
Give us faith to see death as the gate of eternal life,
so that we may continue on our journey of faith
until we are reunited with those who have gone before: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lighting of Candles of Memory
Hymn             "You Are Mine"
I will come to you in the silence, I will lift you from all your fear
You will hear my voice, I claim you as my choice,
be still, and know I am here.

I
                           am hope for all who are hopeless, I am eyes for all who long to see.
In the shadows of the night, I will be your light,
come and rest in me.

Chorus:
Do not be afraid I am with you.
I have called you each by name. Come and follow me,
I will bring you home;
I love you and you are mine.

I am strength for all the despairing,
healing for the ones who dwell in shame.
All the blind will see, the lame will all run free, and all will know my
                           name.

I am the Word that leads all to freedom,
I am the peace the world cannot give.
I will call your name, embracing all your pain,
stand up, now walk, and live!

Reading
                           Lamentations 3:21-25
But this I
                           call to mind,
and therefore
                           I have hope:
The steadfast love
                           of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies
                           never come to an end;
they are new
                           every morning;
great is your
                           faithfulness.
"The Lord
                           is my portion" says my soul,
"therefore
                           I will hope in Him."
The Lord is
                           good to those who wait for Him,
to
                           the soul who seeks Him.

Praise Him
                           for everlasting love

2. Praise Him with the trumpets
Prise Him with harps and strings
Praise Him with drums and dancing

3. Praise Him with the cymbals
Praise Him with loud song
Praise the Lord creator of all things

Glory be to
                           the Father and to the Son and to the Spirit, three in one
as it was in the beginning, It is now and ever shall be
world without end, Amen, Amen

Lesson
                           Ecclesiastes 12
1. Remember
                           your Creator
in the days of your
                           youth,
before the days of trouble
                           come
and the years approach
                           when you will say,
"I find
                           no pleasure in them".

2. before the sun and the light
and the moon ad the stars grow dark,
and the clouds return after the rain;

3.
                           when the keepers of the house tremble,
and
                           the strong men stoop,
when the grinders
                           cease because they are few,
and those looking
                           through the window grow dim;

4. when the doors to the street are closed
and the sound of grinding fades;
when men rise up at the sound of birds,
but all their songs grow faint;

5  when men
                           are afraid of heights
and the dangers
                           in the streets;
when the almond
                           tree blossoms
and the grasshopper
                           drags himself along
and desire
                           no longer is stirred.
Then man goes
                           to his eternal home
and mourners
                           go about the streets.

6 Remember him - before the silver cord is severed,
or the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well,

7  and the
                           dust returns to the ground it came from,
and
                           the spirit returns to God who gave it.

The Magnificat             "Mary's Song"           Heather
                           & Mario Malvarosa

Blessed Mother, blessed friend, hear me when I call.
Open wide your loving arms, share your love with all.

Here I am; there you are, lowly earth and shining star,
Be with me I'm so afraid look at the mess of life I've made.
Am I worthy? Do I count? What's my lowly life about
can I melt one angry face,
can I change the human race?
Heart to heart I feel your strength
arm and arm we'll walk the length
tear
                           to tear you answer me with loving grace you set me free.

Hymn "Here
                           I Am Lord" D. Schutte

I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin, my hand will save.
I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

Chorus
Here I am,
                           Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard
                           you calling in the night.
I will go,
                           Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold
                           your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people's pain.
I have wept for love of them. They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my words to them. Whom shall I send?

Chorus
I, the Lord
                           of wind and flame, I will send the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them. My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide, 'til their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send?

Hymn "I am the Bread of Life"
I am the bread of life, you who come to me shall not hunger;
and who believe in me shall not thirst.
No one can come to me unless my father beckons.

And I will raise you up, and I will raise you up,
and I will raise you up on the last day.

I am the Resurrection,
                           I am the life, if you believe in me,
Even
                           though you die, you shall live forever. (Refrain)
Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ
the Son of God, who have come into the world. (Refrain)

                           Pastoral Prayer (Dedication of new sound system)
The Lord's Prayer

The Wagner Family Carol "Silent Night"
Anne taught the Victorian Singers & the cast the German pronunciation,
Charlie would just hum along.

Stille nacht, Heilige nacht. Alles schlaft, ensam wacht,
Nur das traute hoch heilige paar, Holder knabe mit lockigen haar,
Schlaf in himmlischer ruh, schlaf in himmlischer ruh.

Silent night, holy night all is calm all is bright,
round yon virgin, Mother and Child, holy Infant so tender and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent
                           night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight,
glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing: Alleluia.
Christ the savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.

Silent
                           night, holy night, Son of God loves pure light,
Radiant beams from Thy holy face, with the dawn of Redeeming grace.
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

Prayer for Evening
I
                           thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ,
your dear Son, that you have graciously kept me this day.
 Forgive me all my sins, and graciously keep me this night.
  Into your hands I commend my body and soul and all things
. Let your holy angel be with me, that the wicked foe may have no power
                           over me.  Amen.

Hymn                     "Gifts of Finest Wheat"
As Grains of wheat are gathered in we've come together;
from lives apart we bring our hearts to make one whole.

For many are we, and broken we've come,
but we shall become one.

Each grain must fall and give itself; It first is broken;
then joined with others make one body and one bread. (Refrain)
From many fields the harvest comes to feed the hungry;
The world cries out to taste the goodness of the Lord. (Refrain)

Your harvest, Lord, is gathered in; we stand before you
to be your bread, to be your body in the world. (Refrain)

Benediction & Response "May You Walk with Christ"
May you walk with Christ beside you, saints and angels share your way
May the Holy Spirit guide you to the dawn of endless days

Peace in hearth and home, peace surround you;
peace of Christ our God in hearts of those around you.

The
                           Closing Hymn The Church's One Foundation" Kris Smith, Organist

The
                           church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is His new creation by water and the Word;
from heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride;
with His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.

Elect from every nation, yet one o'er all the earth;
her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth;
one holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food,
and to one hope she presses, with every grace endued.

Yet
                           she on earth that union with God the Three in One,
an mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won.
O happy ones and holy Lord, give us grace that we like them, the meek and lowly, on high may
                           dwell with thee.

*******************************

Dinner is served in Fellowship Hall - all are welcome.

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank everyone for their outpouring
of love, care, concern, and prayers over the past year.
We have lost both of our parents in a short amount of time.
While they lived good and long lives their presence among us is deeply missed,

All the love expressed to us has
                           helped us through this difficult time.
Thank
                           you for being present with us today
and
                           know that as a family of deep faith,
we
                           know our parents are rejoicing in heaven in that place of no dawning or sunset.
Pastor Timothy C. Wagner
